I am a full-time portrait and wedding photographer. One of the main reasons I truly enjoy photographing weddings is because it incorporates all fields of photography rolled into one single day: portraits, product still life, photo journalism, fashion, beauty, architectureAnd what's more - no two weddings are alike.
Long before I started my own business, I was trained thoroughly by all of the photography classes that my high school had to offer, and then received further training at Hallmark Institute of Photography (Proud graduate of the Class of 2005!). After Hallmark, I became a freelance photographer and producer, working first in Boston and then in New York City. With photo shoots ranging from a zillion dollar Upper East Side townhouse to an editorial featuring Mariah Carey, along with the perks like attending NY Fashion Week; it wasn't long before I bought a 3 month old horse and began commuting from Grand Central Station to a small farm in Connecticut on the weekends. (I hope my pony knows how expensive apples are at Grand Central Station!) Signs seemed to be pointing Northeast towards less city; and while I am still in love with New York because of all it taught me, it was time for a change.
Recently relocated, now based in Maine, I'm happy to live in my home state once again- and at last, in the same state as my 2 year old horse! As an avid traveler, I am fortunate to have chosen a profession where my work brings me anywhere and everywhere, from Maine to California. Though most of my focus has been in the New England area, I am ready for international destinations with all of my photographic endeavors. (Don't hesitate to contact me for your destination wedding!)
